Wow !!!

The sun is rising and the weather seems to welcome our day pleasantly. We woke up earlier that morning although there’s no school that day. We checked our luggage once again to ensure that everything is on there possition and there’s nothing left behind. We hate to admit that today was our last day at Singapore. At 9 AM, we checked out from our hotel and had our breakfast. At 10 AM, we hit the road and left the hotel with full of excitement. We are going to Universal Studios of Singapore or many people prefer to say USS. We had so much fun there. We took many pictures, go for a ride on the red and blue roller coaster, Jurasic park journey, and the most amazing of all THE TRANSFORMERS. Although we don’t have many times there, we are happy enough. After that, we went to shop at Lucky Plaza. That plaza was a great place to buy some souvenir for our dearest friends and family because of the More >

Goodbyes aren’t Always Forever :)

Huft.. The days ran very fast. Today was the last day of our student exchange program in Singapore. This morning, we woke up so late because of our long journey that we had yesterday. Today, we also had to pack our baggage ’cause we would leave Peninsula Excelsior Hotel and went home to Surabaya.. Oh no.. *so sad TT*. After we had packed all our baggage, we had breakfast *yeah, our last breakfast in Singapore *. Promptly at 9 o’clock we gathered in Mr. Endra’s room to have a short briefing. After all problems had been cleared, we checked out and left the hotel *bubye Peninsula Hotel! *.

We’re going to the Universal Studio Singapore (USS) *as our last destination*, a very intended place to visit. Today, our tourguide’s name was Ms. Gia. We arrived at USS at about 11a.m. We separated by some group. We watched Transformer 4-D. But before it, we had to queue first. It took a very long More >

It was so awesome!

Yippie! Finally the weekend had come and we would have ɑ recreation. We could weak up so late this morning and had breakfast. We gathered on the first floor at 9.30 ɑ.m and we went to the Singapore Management University (SMU) first. We had ɑ university visit there. The person in charge in SMU explained about SMU’s programmes, scholarships, subjects, buildings, the differences between SMU and National University of Singapore (NUS), etc. After that, we came back to the hotel to pick our tour guide up. Her name is Ms. Siti. She can speaks both Malay and English. Because of that, we asked her to speak Malay. She took us to ɑ chinese restaurant to have lunch. We could eat all we wanted. We finished our lunch and went to Sentosa Island.

We went to Sentosa Island by cable car. We were divided by our group. It took about 15 minutes to go to Sentosa Island by cable car. When we got there, we More >

We Did It!

Today was probably one of the best days in our one-week journey in Singapore. Not just because this is weekend and we were going to Sentosa, we were also able to woke up later (in Indonesian: mbangkong)! We were going to visit Singapore Management University (SMU) today. The bus arrived at 9.30 and we set off.  The bus had to turn around and around the university before finally we could get inside the SMU. There we were explained about the SMU in general, what made it  different from NTU or NUS, their scholarship program, and everything else. We also told that they had 15 thousand applicants this year! After the university introduction, Adrian, Petra 1′s alumnus studying in SMU, showed us around the university.  We got back to the hotel but didn’t go down (so basically just passed by) and headed to Mongolian Restaurant. The restaurant was crowded.  It was a buffet restaurant, so More >

Sayonara Kuo Chuan ! :(

This is the last day for us at Kuo Chuan. Today we went earlier than usual, at 6.30AM because we should prepare for our farewell performance. At 7.45AM, we started the morning assembly. All Kuo Chuan’s student sat in some lines. They read books until their teacher started the morning assembly. There was something different in this morning assembly, Kuo Chuan’s NCDCC (National Civil Defend Cadet Cops) team performed for the NCDCC day. After the performance, we got the chance to perform. We sang Siksik sibatumanikam, Ayo Mama, We’re All in this Together. We also played Suwe Ora Jamu by recorder. We’re very glad that KCPSS students and teachers were pleased with our performances. We felt really satisfied because our hardwork and training wasn’t for nothing.

After the performance, we took pictures together and we went back to our classes. We joined the lesson in our buddy’s class. The class More >

Zaijian KuoChuan…

Yeah, the farewell finally had came. The day for us to say goodbye. We woke up this morning, and went to school in time. We practiced the songs on the way at bus, too! We arrived there at 6.50amand began to prepare our farewell performance. We prepared the instruments, the microphones, etc. The morning assembly had over and we were called to perform on the stage. We prayed first and we did our best. We asked our buddies to come to the stage at the middle of our performance. It was success! Thanks God{}. After the performance had over, we took lots of pictures with our buddies. The fun part was, there’s no need to follow the first-fourth subject! We went to ɑ room with our buddies, and asked the fb’s name, twitter account, and many more so we could keep in touch. After recess, we followed the subjects as usual. Today we had english. We played ɑ fun game! The material was about More >

Sun rose and shone over Singapore. Morning has come, today has began…and today we had to say goodbye to our beloved buddies. Yes, today was our last day at Kou Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School . And today too, we had a farewell performance. So we woke up earlier, had breakfast earlier and departed earlier to school. We arrived at 6.50 am and went straight to the hall. There we saw the National Civil Defence Cadet Corps had their practice for the morning assembly. We had one round rehearsal, then we went backstage and waited for our turn to perform. At 7.40, we performed our Farewell Performance. The performance opened with Suwe Ora Jamu by recorder and dance, then Sik Sik, Ayo Mama, and the last was We’re All in This Together which we sang with our buddies. It was really fun and people said the performance was really good and we did a good job.  After that, we had photo sessions More >

Learning is fun!

Just as yesterday, we went to school from 7.00. At school we learned English, Chemistry, Math, Physical Education, and Mother-tongue. We learned trigonometry in Math class. Some of us joined the 2,4 km running assessment. But it was so tiring, so we decided to walk. In the Mother-tongue class, some of us learned Chinese and even Tamil, which is the Indian language. Tamil sounded so weird to our ears. We looked like Eeyore since we couldn’t even know anything about it. Before we left our school, we had practised our performance for the farewell. Then, we went to Singapore Science Center. We saw scientific things in a very interesting form, like electricity, mathematics, sound, design, logic, and technology. We enjoyed our time there. After that, we headed to Chinatown. We had our dinner and shopped there. At 6.45 pm, we were brought by bus back to the hotel and w #gallery-3 More >

In the Biology class, we had a practical about mammals’ carbohydrate absorption, Before we left the school, we watched the special performance from Petra Youth Orchestra at the school hall. After watching the lovely performance, we had lunch together with our buddy and PYO members at the school canteen.
